The Copyright Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (COPAG), hosted on the official website http://copag.copat.gov.az, is the specialized copyright authority under the Intellectual Property Agency of Azerbaijan (COPAT), the central executive body governing national copyright and related intellectual property affairsAR Müəllif.... Founded under the Presidential Decree of 2005, COPAG retained its exclusive copyright management mandate after the state merged patent, trademark and copyright authorities into a unified IP regulator in 2018.
It executes state copyright strategies, drafts and revises domestic copyright legislation, administers voluntary registration of literary, artistic and scientific works, and supervises collective rights management organizations. The agency enforces anti-piracy campaigns, sets statutory royalty tariffs for creators, and safeguards rights to Azerbaijani folklore expressions, integrated circuit topographies and database compilations
Operating in compliance with Azerbaijan’s Constitution, national IP statutes and global treaties including the Berne Convention and Universal Copyright Convention, COPAG maintains long-term cooperation with WIPO to coordinate cross-border copyright protectionAR Müəllif.... To adapt to digitalization and e-commerce, it develops regulatory frameworks for digital content rights, launches public awareness campaigns and industry training to boost creative industries. Headquartered at the Government House in Baku, it creates a standardized legal environment for creators and enterprises to commercialize intellectual achievements.
