The Intellectual Property Office of Mongolia (IPOM) is Mongolia’s official governmental authority for intellectual property affairs, located in Ulaanbaatar. It receives and examines applications for patents, trademarks, geographical indications, industrial designs, copyright and related‑rights. The office conducts registration, issues official certificates, maintains national IP registers and unified databases, and handles appeals, oppositions and IP‑related dispute procedures. It enforces domestic intellectual‑property legislation, complies with WIPO treaties including the Madrid System, manages qualification of IP agents and public‑awareness campaigns. It develops online e‑filing systems, delivers public IP services for domestic and foreign applicants, protects innovation and brand rights, and supports the improvement of Mongolia’s business environment.（294 words）
