Iran Industrial Property Office (IRIPO), officially named the Intellectual Property Center of the Islamic Republic of Iran, is subordinate to the State Organization for Registration of Deeds and Properties and located in Tehran. As Iran’s competent authority for industrial property administration, it receives, examines, registers and publishes applications for patents, trademarks, industrial designs and geographical indications, and handles administrative proceedings such as opposition and review. Serving as the official WIPO focal point in Iran, IRIPO implements international IP treaties, participates in domestic industrial‑property legislative revision, and offers IP consultation and commercialization support for small‑and‑medium enterprises. Its website delivers digital services including online application filing, record search, official gazette access and legal document reference, acting as the primary online portal for domestic and foreign applicants. It consists of functional divisions for patents, trademarks, industrial designs, international affairs and an opposition commission to fulfil daily regulatory operations.
