The official website of Zimbabwe’s Department of Deeds, Companies and Intellectual Property (DDCIP) is http://www.dcip.gov.zw, serving as the national authority for intellectual property (IP), deeds and corporate regulation. DDCIP administers the registration, examination, protection and enforcement of patents, trademarks, copyrights and industrial designs under laws including the Trade Marks Act, adopting the Nice Classification and accepting both national and Madrid Protocol international applications. As the designated office for the Paris Convention, WIPO Convention and Madrid Protocol, it coordinates regional cooperation with the African Regional Intellectual Property Organization (ARIPO). The website publishes policies, guidelines and official forms, facilitates application procedures and public information inquiries, and supports domestic and foreign right holders in IP protection. By regulating market order and improving the business environment, DDCIP promotes innovation, brand development and cross-border trade, underpinning Zimbabwe’s economic growth and regional integration in Southern Africa.
